Welcome to Biology & Environmental Science class!
Course Description(s):
Biology is devoted to the study of living things and their processes. Throughout the year this course provides an opportunity for students to develop scientific process skills, laboratory techniques and an understanding of the fundamental principles of all living organisms. Students will explore biological science as a process, ecology, cell structure and function, genetics and heredity, evolution and ecology, classification, diversity of living organisms and an introduction to animal structure and function.
Environmental Science is a branch of science that integrates physical, biological and informational sciences to study the environment and the solution of environmental problems. Throughout the year this course provides an opportunity for students to develop scientific process skills, laboratory techniques, and an understanding of the fundamental principles of environmental science. Students will explore ecology, human impact and the environment, Earth’s resources, global changes renewable and nonrenewable resources and waste management.
